An idiot

That's right - idiot. Alan Didak is a idiot.

That's harsh language but I think he is.

The case against:
  • Plays for Collingwood
  • Plays for Collingwood
  • Plays for Collingwood
  • Was at a strip club after a loss to Melbourne, sorry, he was drinking with an opponent at the strip club
  • Went with a dodgy character to a Hells Angels club house
  • Was in the back of a car when shots were fired at police
  • Was allegedly held against his will
  • Now regrets the incident.
  • Was embarrassed by his actions
  • Plays for Collingwood
  • Plays for Collingwood
  • Plays for Collingwood

These tales of woe are mentioned here and here.

What kind of idiot, accepts drinks and then to be driven around for a few hours without complaining or worrying what might happen? I might have led a sheltered life, but I work around a lot of dodgy characters, and my early warning radar would have been going off about this situation if I was involved.

This whole sorry tale, looks like something that comes out of the end of a male cow - yes, bullshit.

Further, the fact that Didak is now forgiven by all and sundry because he was 'held against his will' (see second paragraph), is quite possibly the most bullshit story since I saw 'The Crying Game'.

If he had thought about the consequences and what could have possibly happened, he would have never got in the car. I think there is more to this story than is being let on. For example who told the police of Didak being in the car in the first place? Surely not him (he admits that), doubt the Hells Angles did, as they wouldn't want the extra attention. So perhaps it was the alleged murderer, who toss this little nugget of info to the police, and why?

There should a further investigation into these numnut football players who think that it is tough and cool to hang out in sleazy bars and not expect to eventually get into some sort of strife. (I know there is a minority that spolis it for everyone else.) Most people know that it might happen sooner or later, that's why most (normal) people don't frequent these places on a regular basis. Most people aren't easily recognisable and therefore not potential targets for those who want to exploit them.

And by simply saying that he regrets his actions is supposed to be a code for forgiveness. Crap. Here's an example, if it was alleged that I was drink driving by the police, and I regretted my actions, would I be let off? I wouldn't expect to be, and I wouldn't be. A football player can regret taking drugs, dealing with very dodgy people and then nothing is done about it again. Because he is sorry, regretful or embarrassed by his actions.

Remember the West Coast player who said Fuck (or similar) after winning some medal? He was sorry for saying it, and also 'forgot where he was'. Yeah, right. He knew exactly what he was doing, and it was deliberate. I swear, but I try not to do it in front of kiddies, and I certainly wouldn't do it on national television. As I would know it is wrong to say that at that time, in that circumstance.

Football players need to be very careful here. There is only so much love to go around. Apologising and regreting what you do is not going to wash with everyone and at all times. It is time to start being responsible for your actions and to grow up. I don't consider them role models, as they are football players, and like any young blokes, they want to root, drink and fight, and not always in that order. I did, and sometimes still do.

But I am older and more responsible than them (obviously). Going out, being an idiot and then saying sorry and regretting your actions is not going to lead to the clearing of your sins. Not with me anyway. I have no problem with people going to strip joints, it's a matter of choice.

Thought given to the consequences of your actions and being responsible for your actions is better than trying to hide the incident and/or regretting and/or apologising for your stupid immature/greedy/drug and/or alcohol fucked actions. I have been in situations where I have left because I felt uncomfortable, or that something bad could happen.

Football players seem like tough guys on the field, but once they get involved with shady characters they are scared and also strangely non fussed the next day (see last paragraph).

I for one would have gone to the police, had a cry, and cleaned my undies. Maybe not in that order.

Wonder what other adventures of Alan Didak will come up?

Stolen

I stole the below from this site.

That is great.

This week was pretty ordinary. My partner has a cold, so of course, I got it. And I am about to bail soon.

I was meant to go out with my mate Jay tonight, but I am too crook. I am a little shitty about it as I was looking forward to going out, but I have some big weeks coming up, and can't really afford to be too sick, so I'll give it a miss. Bummer.

Anyways, thanks to Popbitch, check this out.

More to come when I am better.

Popular with Koreans

Yes, that's right. This website is very popular with Koreans. At least that what the Sitemetre at the bottom of the page says.

Got me fucked. Anyway, there is a site called Naver, and I get a lot of referrals from it. Users put in a term, and up I pop.

Here are some examples:
1 I did once
2 Chinny Chin Chin
3 Happy Shopper
4 Chinny Chin Chin (again!)
5 My brush with fame

All the other referrals are from Yahoo and from myspace, and I have an inkling who that is. So there you go, a lot of poor Koreans, obviously trying to learn gooder English are coming to my site from searching a Korean site. It must open their eyes up to a wondrous world, my site.

Dribble written about nothing, read by no one. Excellent. I must tell those readers that I have three university degrees, and only one of them was in English, so you too can reach your dream.

Back to normal. It was my birthday a couple of weekends back. We were at the Gold Coast at a conference. OK, as what happened, I knew was going to happen. No drama. The stunt driving course was good fun, and there are photos here.

Quiet weekend, and the fog is coming in, which is quite unusual for Melbourne. It is very dark and cold.

Well, I am off, as it is a Friday, and I've had enough.
